The Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs Mr. Ananda Wijepala embarked on an observation visit to the Northern province to assess the conditions of police stations. During this visit he further observed Vavniya DIG’s office, Vavniya, Mankulam, Omantha, Kodikamam, Jaffna police stations and STF camp in Jaffna.

During the meeting the Minister emphasized the significant role and contribution of the police in the success of the clean Sri Lanka national initiative of the present government. He underscored further gravity of eradicating bribery, corruption and misconducts, preventing vehicle accidents, reducing all forms of wrongdoing, restoring rule of law, creating better attitude among the people on public service, providing efficient service from Sri Lanka Police.

The Minister inspected Anuradhapura Police Station and marked the opening of the regional coordinating center.
