Sri Lanka–Pakistan Discussions on Bilateral Cooperation and Anti-Drug Efforts

On 2026.02.17, a high-level delegation from Pakistan including Interior Minister Hon. Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Federal Minister Hon. Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and H.E. the High Commissioner of Pakistan to Sri Lanka Gen. Faheem Ul Aziz met with Hon. Ananda Wijepala, Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs.

Bilateral discussions were held to strengthen the long-standing friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

They further discussed enhancing regional cooperation to prevent drug trafficking and emphasized joint action against international drug networks. Pakistan appreciated Sri Lanka’s ongoing anti-narcotics efforts.
